The class is limited to a select group of no more than 9 teams of emerging leaders, offering opportunity for collaboration and an enduring network of support. Teams of 3-4 leaders must include the Executive Director/CEO of the organization. If the Executive Director/ CEO has previously attended a Leadership Institute, they need not be a part of the team. There will be tasks and sessions that they are asked to complete or attend.

After the Western States Virtual Leadership Institute, participants will have access to other graduates and speakers, numbering over 2500 leaders across the United States and internationally, via our online Community of Practice Leadership Network.

To participate in the Institute, participants must have access to a computer with a camera, microphone, and speakers and internet access. The Institute will use Zoom as the meeting platform. You do not need to have a Zoom account to participate, although a desktop version of Zoom is recommended.

A significant amount of preparation work is required. Prior to and throughout the Institute, participants will be asked to read two books, to submit a team leadership challenge, complete the Organizational Practices and Priorities Inventory assessment, fill out a pre-survey and to take a 360-degree assessment of leadership skills.

This Institute is only open to teams of 3-4 leaders (5 with an additional fee). Individual applications will not be accepted.
